Ludo Masters is not only a captivating multiplayer game but also a strategy board game for two to four players. It follows the familiar concept of racing four tokens from start to finish based on the rolls of a single dice. Similar to its Indian precursor, Pachisi, Ludo Star simplifies the gameplay while preserving its essence. Due to its widespread popularity, the game and its variations have gained recognition under different names in various countries.

To begin playing, each participant must roll the dice. A player can enter a token into play by rolling a 6, while other rolls result in passing the turn to the next player if no tokens have been activated yet. Once tokens are in play, their movement corresponds to the number indicated by the dice. Players must adhere to the dice value for each token's individual advancement, without any skipping or bypassing opportunities. If no valid moves are available, the turn proceeds to the next player.

A rolled 6 grants the player the option to either advance an active token or introduce a new token from the staging area onto its starting square. Rolling a 6 also bestows an additional or "bonus" roll for that turn. If the bonus roll yields another 6, an additional bonus roll is earned. However, if three consecutive rolls result in a 6, the player forfeits any movement, and the turn passes promptly to the next participant.

If a token's progression concludes on a square occupied by an opponent's token, the opponent's token is sent back to their respective yard. The returning token can only be reintroduced into the game when the owner rolls a 6. While there are no "safe" squares on the track to protect tokens from being returned, a player's home column squares are always secure since opponents are not allowed to enter.
